Doctor of Veterinary Medicine

Oklahoma State University is the state's only college of veterinary medicine and one of only 32 nation-wide.
The OSU College of Veterinary Medicine educates and develops skills veterinarians need for a lifetime of investigation, innovation, care and protection of animal health and welfare.

Curriculum

165 Total Credit Hours

  • 13 credit hours of electives during years 2 and 3
  • 25 two-week clinical rotations during year 4 with emphasis areas in small animal, mixed animal and equine

Admissions

Students may choose any accredited college or university to complete their pre-veterinary coursework, however, choosing a major related to the student's interest in science and animals is recommended.
